If you drew a line between Boston, MA and Providence, RI, your line would cross straight through the suburb that Kate grew up in. Growing up, Kate would take the train to either city every weekend to see the latest art exhibits, film screenings, or concerts - giving her a sharp eye and ear for the aesthetically and sonically pleasing. A 2022 graduate of Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont, Kate holds a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Media Production and specializes in video production, with a focus on visuals and design. She is also an experienced copy-editor and technical writer.
Notable Projects
Kate's 2021 short documentary film, Pictures in a Pandemic, was featured on Made Here on Vermont Public in March, 2022. It won an Honorable Mention in the College/University Non-Fiction Long Form Category, NATAS Boston, 2022.
Recently, Kate covered the 2023 Montpelier flood and aftermath as part of her work with a local public access station. These pieces were among the first on-the-ground documentation of the natural disaster to be published, informing all Vermonters of the devastation as it occurred.
